Mourvedre 85%, Syrah 10%, Carignan 5%
Perfumed, complex, rich. Sweet red fruit, a bit of leather, meaty and earthy.
Sorin is the only winemaker in the world to use rotating 76 Hectolitre oak casks for vinification, which keeps the contact of juice and skin and melds the tannins. The wine is then aged in 228 litre French oak barrels for 16 months. Will age for 10 years, but the process allows early drinking. Outstanding wine. 91/100 Lloyds Points. Parker has given this wine several scores in the 90s over recent years.
