Akurra is an unoaked, elegant Chardonnay. A nod to the great snake deity Akurra (The Rainbow Serpent) of Aboriginal origin, grapes are harvested in the cool of night from long-established Victoria vineyards.
A versatile wine that everyone can enjoy, Akurra offers aromas of fresh tangerine peel and a palate filled with delicious tropical fruit flavours. Great texture on the palate with a hint of refreshing lime on the finish.
Because it features a beautifully racy, crisp acidity without heavy oak, it pairs exceptionally well with lighter or creamy dishes:
Seafood: Light starters, prawns, shellfish, and rich fish dishes like smoked mackerel pâté.
