COVID-19 Update (Nov 2020)

To all our customers,

Firstly we hope that you are well and keeping safe and we want to thank you for the amazing support that we have had over the last 6 months; you have kept us busy and the business turning over, we are very grateful!

As some of you will have noticed we have updated the website and are continuing to add in new lines that we have sourced over the lockdown - luckily our suppliers kept on supplying and so we had a little time to research and find some new wines for you to explore.

Life at Lloyd's Wines has started to feel a bit more normal and after a lot of thought and reorganisation we are going to be holding some wine tasting events in the lead up to Christmas. These events will look and feel different from the ones we have held before due to regulations set out by the government concerning social distancing and gatherings of people.

Our new tasting events will still be held in The Stables Wine Shop but you will be required to book a ticket for the evening, and following the Government announcement back on 9th September 2020, we cannot accept any bookings of more than 6 people per group. Tickets for the event will be £32 per head, or £180 for a table of 6. You will be asked to stay at your table during the event and we will supply you with a selection of wines to taste.

A few notes to think about:

Track and Trace: In line with Government guidance, we need a name and contact number for each household for the NHS track and trace system should they contact us requesting it. These details will be held for 21 days.

Covid-19 symptoms: We ask that if you are experiencing any of the Covid-19 symptoms (a new continuous cough, high temperature or loss of/change in normal sense of smell or taste) then you do not attend the event. Please contact us in this instance and we will be happy to offer a full refund or change the date of your attendance.

Households and bubbles: Following the recent Government announcement we are unable to accept more than 6 people on an individual booking unless they are one household/support bubble. We will assume that each booking covers one household or social bubble and therefore you will be seated together. We will lay out tables in the shop so that social distancing rules can be adhered to. If your booking covers more than one household or social bubble, please inform us so that we can note this and set up accordingly.

Capacity: We are restricting the events to 18 people. We ask you not to bring anyone who is not pre booked to the event. Please listen to your host on arrival and follow their instructions.

Social distancing: Throughout the event please remember to keep your distance from staff and other guests present. You will be briefed at the beginning of the event with our procedures, and we will have direction and distance markers drawn up for you to follow where needed. We ask you to not touch anything that is on another group’s table during the event. Our staff will need to approach the tables during the tastings to provide your samples, they will be wearing face coverings for your safety. Please respect theirs by maintaining your distance as much as possible.

Masks: you will need to wear a mask as you enter the venue and when you are moving around, at the table you do not need to wear a mask. We will have disposable masks available if needed.

We are looking forward to seeing you again back at the farm - from a safe distance!
