Château Cissac Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois is a ripe, refined Medoc from one of the best vintages in memory. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Aged in oak casks (40% new) for up to 20 months before bottling.
This wine is impressive, with concentrated dark black fruits, blackcurrant puree, cassis and autumn berries on the nose. On the palate it is juicy with silky tannins wrapped around a core of black forest fruit, black pepper and mocha spice.
It pairs best with rich, grilled, or roasted meats such as lamb, beef (entrecôte), venison, and duck, and benefits from decanting for an hour.
