Allegrini, Corte Giara Bardolino, 2021

A highly approachable, light-bodied Italian red wine that functions as an excellent everyday drinker. Produced under Allegrini's negociant label, Corte Giara, this wine brings the reputable family's signature quality stamp to a more casual, affordable tier. It is crafted from a traditional Veronese blend harvested near the eastern shores of Lake Garda.

The Nose: Offers a bright, fragrant bouquet dominated by wild woodland berries, red cherries, raspberries, and subtle floral hints of rose-hip blossom and violets.
The Palate: Crisp, juicy, and refreshingly tart. It features dominant flavors of red currant and black pepper spiciness. The tannins are exceptionally low and gentle, allowing the wine's vibrant acidity to lead.
Overall Style: Often compared by tasters to a French Beaujolais due to its light, perfumed, and "succulent easy-drinking" persona. The Nose: Offers a bright, fragrant bouquet dominated by wild woodland berries, red cherries, raspberries, and subtle floral hints of rose-hip blossom and violets.

Because of its light footprint and high acidity, it cuts through fats beautifully without overwhelming delicate dishes. Perfect pairings include:
Mediterranean Classics: Light tomato pastas, pizza, and seasonal vegetable soups.
Casual Fare: Grilled chicken, burgers, and charcuterie boards.
Lean Meats: Duck, goose, or light game birds.
