Intense crimson coloured wine with an elegant bouquet and a rich fruity flavour. Typical flavours found in Cornalin are sweet cherries, raspberries and red currants often with a floral touch such as violets, or a herbal note like raspberry leaves.
This is a typical Valaisan Cornalin, with an elegant bouquet delicately balanced alongside flavours of sour cherry and herbal notes. This wine has a unique character, with a touch of bitterness and a rusticity.
Cornalin is the name given to two distinct, but related, red wine grape varieties from the Alps – one found in the Aosta Valley and one from Valais.
The Valais is the largest wine region and appellation in Switzerland, responsible for around one third of the country's total wine production.
