Cairanne is a relatively new appellation, with similar soil structure to its neighbour, Châteauneuf du Pâpe; meaning fabulous wine can be produced at a much lower cost.
The wine has a deep red/purple colour, with fine aromas of black fruits and vanilla. In the mouth you find spice and fine tannins, with a long finish.
Drink this with game dishes, strong cheeses and red meat.
