A deep red colour correctly gives the impression of a bold and strong wine. Overiding dark red fruit and liquorice aromas give you a taste of mature fruit that has been gently stewed.
Identical in grape blend as cuvée Philippine but this wine is matured in oak for 9 months which gives it body and length in the mouth.
Would drink well with lamb, duck or a country terrine.
