Lagrein produces dark, thick skinned grapes that give wines of deep colour and bright, vital character. They're the oldest indigenous grape variety in Alto Adige and is genetically related to Syrah.
This 2019 is delicious, aromas being incredibly pure, with notes of crunchy black cherries and blackcurrants supplemented with signature Lagrein meaty aromas and elegant structure from the juicy tannins.
Palate is medium bodied, with scented middle fruit and fine, fresh tannins bringing lift to the finish.
