The fruit is all from Mauricio’s own high-altitude vineyards (1050m) in Vista Flores in the Uco Valley, and the wine is bottled at source at his winery in Mendoza.
This is a superior wine, for its price point that represents fantastic value for money. Dark, aromatic, fresh and juicy, unoaked; a real crowd-pleaser.
Best paired with high-protein, savoury dishes, notably grilled red meats like steak, lamb chops, and burgers with smoky flavours. Its fruity, high-altitude character also complements roast pork, gamey meats, aged cheeses (cheddar, gouda), and earthy vegetables like roasted peppers or eggplant.
